A Legacy of Connections

Link Black Boston, under the parent brand of LiteWork Events, LLC, was established to build connections and foster dynamic social and cultural experiences for Boston’s urban young professionals.

Since 2012, LiteWork has been a leading force in curating events that cater to the city’s diverse community, offering both networking and entertainment opportunities. As these two brands prepare to merge, the legacy of LiteWork’s signature events will continue through Link Black Boston.

Not only will Link Black Boston host beloved events like Brunch Noir and the after-work series, but it will also amplify new creators and introduce additional events throughout the city, broadening its impact and reach.

#LiteWorkAfterWork

Our flagship series of events, #LiteWorkAfterWork, engages Boston’s urban young professionals through after work networking. Originally titled “Lite’n Up”, since 2012 our regular mixer series has gathered Boston’s urban young professionals in the same time and same place once a month for social networking. Venues have included Savvor Restaurant & Lounge, Darryl’s Corner Bar & Kitchen, La Fabrica Central and the Revere Hotel Boston Common, to name a few. Each month usually highlights a collaborating organization aligned with the values of LiteWork Events. In the summertime, we also head up to the Rooftop @ Revere for a unique after work experience under the sun!

SCHOOLED Alumni Themed Party

Since March 2014, our alumni-themed day party has been known to draw some of the freshest college graduates who call the Greater Boston area their home. This event calls on Boston’s urban young professionals to get in the #SCHOOLEDSpirit and represent their alma mater while partying to the sounds of the hottest DJs. This event now takes place only once a year, so keep your calendars open for a great time each Fall!
#ENVYMV Day Party

Every summer, LiteWork Events brings Boston’s urban young professionals on Oak Bluffs, Martha’s Vineyard during the 4th of July weekend for the

#ENVYMV Day Party. Since 2016, we have created an unmatched Summertime experience, curating a mini escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Each year, a portion of the proceeds are also donated to the local Island Food Pantry.

#SOCOBOSTON Day Party

Since 2017, LiteWork Events has partnered with the Greater Boston Morehouse College Alumni Association to bring a bit of Southern Comfort to the Boston area with the #SoCoBoston Day Party. Guest DJs from Atlanta and DC bring unique charm as we bring a taste of the South up North.

New Year’s Day Party

Also since 2017, each year we ring in the New Year with a bang! Our annual New Year’s Day Party is a unique daytime experience after the ball has dropped and the official first day of the year has arrived. Brunch vibes kick off the celebration, followed by a high-energy celebration to set the tone for the rest of the year.

#BlackBostonforHaiti Party with a Purpose

Black Boston for Haiti is our annual fundraising event for Partners in Health, the largest non-governmental healthcare organization in Haiti. Zanmi Lasasnte, a sister organization to Partners In Health, has become the largest healthcare provider in Haiti, delivering health care to more than 1.3 million people.  Following the 2021 earthquake in Haiti, LiteWork Events convened a group of Haitian-American community leaders from around the Boston area to come together in support of the island nation. We pooled together our resources and networks to organize a “party with a purpose” where 100% of the proceeds benefited Partners in Health.
#BlackBostonforHaiti has now become a yearly initiative, providing an elevated experience for guests by celebrating the beauty of Haitian art and culture with live Haitian performing artists, DJs, visual artists, and dynamic speakers as well as a silent auction.

As of 2024, we have raised $23,500+ and look forward to surpassing this amount every year.
